Brother of 253 Private Sydney James Adams (KIA).
Albert Adams was wounded at Gallipoli and also contracted typhoid. He was invalided to Australia in January 1916 and declared medically unfit for service. After recovering he re-enlisted in January 1917 and served on the Western Front. He was hospitalised with bronchitis and tonsillitis and again declared medically unfit. He returned to Australia in April 1918 to work in a munitions factory.
