Brother of 2248 Private Daniel Henry Cashel Yeates (not on Roll of Honour).
Charles Yeates arrived in Egypt in January 1916 and was immediately admitted to hospital at Abbassia with measles. In February he developed bronchitis. He was invalided to Brisbane in April and discharged in June.
