Charles Mohr arrived in France in April 1916. He was reported missing on 29 July following vicious fighting at Pozieres. A year later a Court of Enquiry confirmed he had been killed in action. After the war his grave was located near the battlefield and his remains were exhumed and re-interred at Courcelette British Cemetery.
