Son of 2706 Private Frederick Maddicks.

 

Frederick Maddicks joined his unit in France in January 1918 and nine weeks later was killed in action at Dernancourt. He was only 17. He had enlisted aged 16 and 5 months after his mother had signed his application while his father was on active service.
