Also named on Independent Order of Rechabites No 3 Roll of Honour.
Military Medal citation: "During the operations at Broodseinde Ridge east of Ypres 4th-9th October 1917, Lance Corporal McLeod showed remarkable bravery and devotion to duty, setting a splendid example to his squad under the most trying circumstances day and night, in the rain and mud, continually exposed to shell fire and machine gun barrages. On one occasion he volunteered to take his squad over a mile back from an advanced post for rations, though there was considerable risk of losing the path both ways as the track was bring heavily shelled. The getting of rations for the forward squads was of most valuable assistance to the successful carrying out of the bearing." (Awarded 3 November 1917; Bar awarded 17 June 1919)
