Brother of 130 Private John Kelly-Healy (not on Roll of Honour).

 

James Kelly-Healy landed in France in November 1916. In March 1917 he was selected to attend officer training at Cambridge. In June he was appointed 2nd Lieutenant and returned to his unit in France in July. Three months later in Belgium he was killed in action by shellfire during an advance at Zonnebeke. He was 22. His brother John was wounded in action in France on the same day.
