Photo: Eleanor Jessup joined the Australian Army Nursing Service at Kangaroo Point Military Hospital in Brisbane in August 1915 and nursed there until she embarked in February 1917. She nursed in England until posted to 3rd Australian General Hospital at Abbeville, France and later at several front line Casualty Clearing Stations. She was promoted to Sister in February 1919 and returned to Australia in June as nursing staff for the voyage.
