Stanley Greenbury landed in France in December 1916 attached to the 11th Field Ambulance Company and re-joined the 42nd Battalion in February 1918. He was killed in action in France on 2 October at Bony during the battle of Mont Saint-Quentin (the offensive was planned by General John Monash). He was 23.
