Brother of 1729 Private Samuel John Chamberlin.
William Chamberlin landed at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 and remained until the December evacuation. He arrived in France in April 1916 and served, with only two leave breaks, until October 1918 when he returned to Australia. He was discharged in February 1919, aged 23.
