Brother of 3536 Private William George Davies.

 

Charles Davies landed in France in December 1917 and transferred to the 42nd Battalion. In May 1918 he was wounded by gas and hospitalised in France. He returned to Australia in February 1919 and was discharged in April, aged 21.
