Brother of 797 Private Eric Clive Carlyle Garrett.

 

Claude Garrett arrived in France in September 1916 where he transferred to the  52nd Battalion. The 52nd had just suffered 50 percent casualties in the bloody assault at Mouquet Farm. His unit went to the front in mid-October and he was killed in action at Flers six weeks later. He has no known grave.
