Brother of 2307 Private Adam Falconer, 7288 Sapper James Falconer and 270 Sergeant John Falconer.

 

Hugh Falconer arrived in France in June 1916. In August was wounded by multiple gunshots. He was admitted to Stamford’s King Edward Hospital where his right leg had to be amputated. In June 1917 he was promoted to Lieutenant. He recuperated in England until returning to Australia in June 1918.
