John Fox landed in France in November 1916. He was wounded in action near Wimereux in March 1917 and invalided to Colchester Military Hospital. He returned to France in July and re-joined his unit in August. Seven weeks later in Belgium he was killed in action at Broodseinde. He has no known grave.
